Azamara Cruises has announced a significant enhancement to its onboard entertainment offerings through an expanded partnership with RWS Global, set to commence in 2026. This collaboration, building upon a relationship established in 2017, aims to introduce a series of new performances and interactive experiences across the Azamara fleet.
The forthcoming entertainment lineup will feature 10 original stage productions, exclusively developed for Azamara by RWS Global. These shows are designed to encompass a variety of musical genres and eras, integrating contemporary choreography and reimagined classics to cater to a diverse, multi-generational audience. In addition to these productions, two interactive game shows will be introduced, encouraging guest participation in novel and engaging formats. The entertainment program will also include themed musical events and spontaneous performances throughout the ships. To support these enhancements, Azamara is undertaking fleetwide technical upgrades, focusing on advanced sound, lighting, and visual systems to elevate the overall production quality and guest experience.
Simon Blacoe, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Azamara Cruises, indicated that the partnership with RWS Global is instrumental in delivering performances that reflect the destinations visited and the cultures celebrated onboard. Ryan Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President of Sea Production at RWS Global, noted that the collaboration aims to bring a vibrant range of musical, dance, and artistic performances to life, supported by world-class talent and enhanced onboard technology.
This initiative is part of Azamara's broader commitment to providing culturally enriched programming and immersive experiences for its guests. The expanded entertainment offerings are expected to complement Azamara's Destination Immersion experiences, further enhancing the cruise line's reputation for delivering meaningful and engaging travel experiences.
