Princess Cruises has announced the implementation of more stringent operational guidelines for its onboard beverage packages, effective for all voyages departing on or after May 9th (2025).
This initiative aims to reinforce the terms of its Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages and ensure consistent compliance across the fleet.
Under the updated policies, guests are limited to ordering one drink per transaction, irrespective of their beverage package enrollment. Sharing of beverage packages is strictly prohibited; guests are not permitted to use their package allowances to purchase drinks for others. Should a guest choose to buy additional drinks for fellow passengers, each drink must be paid for at full price. Additionally, double pours of spirits are no longer allowed, although double pours of wine by the glass remain permissible.
The company has instructed its Food and Beverage leadership onboard to ensure that crew members are adequately trained and fully aware of these new rules by the rollout date. The primary objective is to maintain consistency in guest service while preserving the value and integrity of the beverage packages.
Princess Cruises' Plus and Premier packages have been popular among guests for their inclusive approach, bundling drinks with other amenities. However, the cruise line has occasionally faced challenges with guests attempting to circumvent package limits or share benefits with other travelers. By enforcing these updated rules, Princess Cruises aims to prevent misuse while continuing to offer a high-quality experience to its guests.
Guests currently booked on sailings departing on or after May 9th will retain access to all items covered by their beverage packages, provided they adhere to the updated guidelines.
