Explora Journeys will operate its 2026–2027 Caribbean season with two ships, offering itineraries from mid-October 2026 through March 2027 across a combination of established and less-visited destinations. The programme is designed around the line’s all-suite accommodation, onboard facilities and destination-focused shore experiences, allowing passengers to visit multiple islands without changing hotels.
The season will include calls at destinations such as Saint Barthélemy, Saint Lucia and the British Virgin Islands, alongside a selection of smaller Caribbean ports and islands.
EXPLORA I will begin its Caribbean programme from Miami on November 17th, 2026, following a transatlantic voyage from Barcelona. Meanwhile, EXPLORA III, the newest addition to the fleet, will make its Caribbean debut after departing Québec City on October 15th and sailing south along the Atlantic coast. The ship is scheduled to reach San Juan, Puerto Rico, on November 1st.
Both ships feature oceanfront suites, outdoor spaces and open-air dining and leisure areas, with the onboard programme combining flexible dining, wellness facilities and other services with shore-based experiences.
Explora Journeys President Anna Nash described the Caribbean as a region comprising distinct destinations with different landscapes, cultures and traditions. She said the company’s approach was to combine several of these destinations within a single itinerary while maintaining the level of accommodation, space and service associated with an upscale resort.
The destination programme includes a range of nature and cultural activities. In the British Virgin Islands, passengers can visit The Baths on Virgin Gorda, known for its sea pools and granite formations. In Samaná Bay, excursions provide opportunities to observe humpback whales, while Dominica offers rainforest hikes to waterfalls. In Grenada, powerboat excursions can include snorkelling at the island’s Underwater Sculpture Park.
Cultural experiences are also featured in the programme. In Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, visitors can experience local soca and steelpan music, while boat excursions in Anguilla provide access to the more secluded Little Bay. Guadeloupe itineraries include visits to the botanical gardens of Deshaies, while excursions in Saint Barthélemy can include jet-ski trips to Coco Island. In Saint Lucia, passengers can participate in chocolate-making experiences with local specialists.
The culinary programme extends the destination focus, with experiences ranging from beachside lobster lunches in Antigua to rum-blending activities in Saint Kitts and further chocolate-making sessions in Saint Lucia.
On board, the ships will incorporate Caribbean influences into their dining programmes, including seafood, local produce, spices and regional flavours. Passengers will have flexible options for spending their time, from dining and pool areas to wellness facilities and private terraces.
The festive period will form part of the Caribbean programme, with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year celebrations taking place during selected voyages. On New Year’s Eve, EXPLORA III passengers will be able to watch fireworks over San Juan as the ship marks the beginning of 2027 in Puerto Rico.
Across the season, Explora Journeys will combine its oceanfront suites, dining venues, wellness facilities and flexible onboard schedule with a varied selection of Caribbean destinations. The programme is intended to provide access to multiple islands while maintaining a consistent onboard environment throughout the voyage.
