The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled additional information regarding its third vessel, Luminara, scheduled to commence operations in the summer of 2025. This new entrant into the luxury maritime sector will embark on its maiden voyage on July 3, charting a course from Monte Carlo to Rome and operating in the Mediterranean during its inaugural season. Following this, Luminara is expected to navigate routes through Africa and the Indian Ocean before transitioning to Asia-Pacific itineraries in December. By May 2026, the vessel will reposition to spend the summer months exploring the coastlines of Alaska and Canada.

Luminara, named for the Latin word meaning "light," will host a maximum of 452 guests across 226 suites. The 794-foot superyacht features interior public spaces created by Chapi Design Luxury Division of Toronto, while the suites have been designed by the London-based AD Associates. Lighting design was overseen by consultants from DPA. Materials throughout the vessel include walnut wood, Arabescato Corchia marble, and a palette that draws on soft blues, warm greys, and oceanic tones, offset with bronze and ruby accents. Suites are fitted with private terraces and use a contrasting palette of dark oak, Emporada marble, and smoked glass, complemented by neutral tones, warm timber finishes, and selected metalwork. Several suites are enhanced with bespoke furnishings from noted design houses such as Minotti, Giorgetti, Talenti, Poltrona Frau, and Molteni.

Art curation aboard the vessel includes 731 pieces, with works by acclaimed artists such as Paul Klee, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, Gerhard Richter, and Andy Warhol. Approximately 65 percent of these pieces were specially commissioned for the ship.

In terms of dining, Luminara will provide five distinct culinary venues. Two of these have been developed in collaboration with James Beard Award recipients and Michelin-starred chefs Fabio Trabocchi and Michael Mina. Trabocchi’s Seta su Luminara will feature an eight-course tasting experience alongside an à la carte menu of modern Italian cuisine. Mina has developed Beach House, which will serve dishes inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors. Other dining locations include Azur on Luminara, offering menus that reflect regional influences and seasonal ingredients; Haesu Bit, with a menu informed by Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese cuisines; and Mistral, specializing in seafood and grilled fare.

Amenities include a Marina complex with a terrace and beach area, featuring a floating lounge platform with a central pool that allows direct sea access. This platform will also support recreational activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, Seabob, and electric foiling. A panoramic pool area on Deck 10 will feature the ship’s main swimming pool along with two jacuzzis.

The onboard Ritz-Carlton Spa will provide treatments from luxury brands such as ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi across eleven treatment rooms. Retail options include branded boutiques for Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, and Piaget, in addition to The Boutique, which will stock resort attire, exclusive Lululemon collaborations, vintage pieces, and distinctive home décor.

With Luminara, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection continues its expansion into the ultra-luxury maritime sector, offering a vessel that integrates refined design, international cuisine, high-end wellness offerings, and curated experiences across global destinations.
