MSC Cruises introduces revamped specialty dining structure fleetwide

MSC Cruises has undertaken a comprehensive revision of its specialty dining offerings, implementing a fleet-wide update to menus and dining packages with the stated objective of enhancing clarity, variety, and value for its guests. Central to the new arrangement is the introduction of a fixed-fee dining model, intended to streamline the experience while maintaining culinary diversity.

The newly structured dining format allows passengers to access most of the items listed on a given specialty restaurant’s menu for a single, predetermined fee. This pricing model encompasses at least one starter, one main course, and one dessert, while select high-end items remain available at a modest supplement. By consolidating menu offerings into a more inclusive format, the cruise line aims to simplify the selection process and increase accessibility across its guest demographic.

In addition to the revised pricing model, MSC has introduced an expanded range of specialty dining packages. These packages now allow for between one and four restaurant visits and offer flexibility in both scheduling and restaurant selection. Guests may revisit preferred venues during their voyage, with the exception of Butcher’s Cut, which remains limited to a single visit per multi-restaurant package.

The cruise line has also outlined the financial benefit of advance booking, noting that passengers who secure their specialty dining options prior to embarkation may realize savings of up to 20 percent compared to onboard pricing.

These updated dining packages are currently available for booking, and MSC has indicated that further refinements to the purchasing and scheduling process are planned. The availability of specific specialty restaurants varies by vessel, but the overall structure and policy now apply consistently across the fleet.
