Ponant Explorations launches all-inclusive cruises 2026 in Kimberley Australia

For the 2026 Kimberley cruising season, Ponant Explorations has unveiled a comprehensive Fly, Stay & Cruise offering designed to streamline travel to one of Australia’s most striking and remote regions. This new package incorporates return economy flights from major cities in Australia and New Zealand, premium accommodation with transfers up to September 30, 2025, and the acclaimed small-ship expedition Australia’s Kimberley Coast, forming an all-in-one travel solution for guests seeking a seamless journey.

Deb Corbett, Ponant Explorations' Chief Executive for the Asia Pacific region, explained that the remoteness of the Kimberley often presents logistical challenges for travellers. She noted that this new all-inclusive arrangement has been crafted to eliminate complexity, allowing guests to focus entirely on the experience. With every element—from flights to accommodations and the expedition itself—coordinated in advance, the intention is for travellers to arrive relaxed and ready to immerse themselves in the Kimberley’s rich natural and cultural heritage.

The 2026 Kimberley season will include 16 scheduled departures between May and September, with sailings on the sisterships Le Jacques-Cartier and Le Soléal. The Kimberley itinerary, running between homeports Broome and Darwin, exemplifies Ponant’s hallmark blend of expedition and elegance.

On board, guests will encounter a yachting-style atmosphere, intuitive service, and refined amenities including gourmet dining, live entertainment, an outdoor infinity pool, and wellness offerings from Clarins and SOTHYS.

Each day ashore offers new insights into the region’s landscapes and Indigenous heritage, brought to life through expertly guided Zodiac excursions and shore landings.

In addition to the Kimberley program, Ponant will introduce two special departures in July and August 2026 under the West Coast Odyssey banner. The 10-night voyages (between Broome and Fremantle-Perth) will offer exploration of lesser-known but ecologically significant areas along Western Australia’s coast. Highlights include visits to Shark Bay—listed by UNESCO for its rare marine biodiversity—as well as the protected waters and island groups of Jurien Bay, Abrolhos, and Montebello Islands Marine Parks. The West Coast Odyssey itinerary also features Murujuga National Park (on the Burrup Peninsula), home to one of the world's densest concentrations of ancient rock art.
