The third vessel in The Ritz‑Carlton Yacht Collection, designated Luminara, was formally handed over on June 4th at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique yard in Saint‑Nazaire, France.
The ceremony featured the traditional changing of flags and a celebratory toast on deck, attended by Ernesto Fara, President of the yacht line, and Laurent Castaing, General Manager at Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Also present was Captain Magnus Bengtsson, who is to lead the maiden season beginning with a 7‑day voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome on July 3, 2025.
Fara described the arrival of Luminara as a landmark moment that advances the yacht line’s vision for ultra‑luxury cruising at sea, emphasizing the striking architecture and meticulously curated interiors that reflect both brands’ shared standard of excellence.
Castaing noted that delivering the vessel just a year after its sistership Ilma represented a further milestone in the long‑standing partnership and collective pursuit of maritime refinement.
The yacht represents the fleet’s largest acquisition to date, accommodating 1,460 guests across its decks. Following its Mediterranean debut, Luminara is scheduled to navigate routes through Africa, the Indian Ocean, and then the Asia‑Pacific region beginning December 2025, before venturing to Alaska and Canada in May 2026, thereby expanding the line’s global footprint.
