Seabourn has released details of its 2027–2028 deployment, highlighted by a 14-day Mediterranean sailing aboard Seabourn Ovation that will coincide with a total solar eclipse.

The voyage departs Monte Carlo on July 23rd, 2027, and positions the vessel to observe the celestial event on August 2nd, while en route to Dubrovnik. Following the eclipse, the ship continues its scheduled course toward the Croatian port.

The new programme comprises 111 departures across 72 itineraries, calling at 369 ports in 71 countries. The schedule is designed to balance Seabourn’s hallmark luxury experience with expedition-style travel and immersive cultural encounters, extending across all seven continents.

The expedition fleet, consisting of Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, will operate 49 voyages between March 2027 and April 2028. These sailings, ranging from 8 to 94 days, include itineraries in Antarctica, the Arctic, the South Pacific, and Australia’s Kimberley coast. The season introduces Seabourn’s inaugural “Pole-to-Pole Grand Expedition,” a 94-day voyage from the Arctic to Antarctica, covering a full latitudinal span of the globe.

In addition to expedition offerings, Seabourn Encore, Seabourn Ovation, and Seabourn Quest will continue to serve regions such as Alaska, Japan, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and Canada & New England. These vessels, with their smaller dimensions, are scheduled to call at lesser-visited ports and UNESCO World Heritage Sites not commonly accessible to larger ships.

The Mediterranean programme is anchored by the eclipse sailing aboard Seabourn Ovation. Departing Monte Carlo, the itinerary combines major cultural centres with smaller coastal towns, culminating in a call at Dubrovnik shortly after the eclipse. Guests will be positioned to view the astronomical event at sea against the backdrop of the Mediterranean horizon.

Seabourn has emphasised that the new season reflects its continued commitment to service, comfort, and sustainable operations. Its expedition vessels, built with advanced environmental technologies, are designed to minimise impact while enabling access to remote and sensitive destinations. Shore programmes are structured to balance exploration with respect for local cultures and ecosystems.

The 2027–2028 programme represents an expansion of Seabourn’s offering, with options ranging from extensive polar expeditions to shorter cultural voyages. The deployment combines diverse geographical coverage with the line’s established focus on luxury and detail, providing opportunities for both seasoned travellers and those seeking new maritime experiences.
