Uniworld and Seabourn have embarked on a joint venture to introduce a singular voyage blending the intimacy of river cruising with the grandeur of ocean travel—marking the first collaboration of its kind for both lines. The 15-day “Venice and the Mediterranean Sea” itinerary pairs Uniworld’s renowned 7-night 'Venice and the Jewels of the Veneto' aboard S.S. La Venezia with a 7-night sailing aboard Seabourn Quest, traversing the Adriatic and calling at key destinations en route from Venice to Athens.
The combined cruise will depart twice in 2026, on July 5th and August 30th. The river segment will include visits to the lagoon islands of Burano, Mazzorbo, and Torcello, along with an exclusive after-hours tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and a private wine pairing at the historic Dominico di Baglio estate.
Guests will then transfer by private coach to embark Seabourn Quest for a week-long ocean passage. Ports of call on this leg will include Vodice in Croatia, the fortified town of Kotor in Montenegro, and the historically Venetian-influenced port of Nafplion in Greece.
This innovative partnership was shaped by Uniworld customer research, which revealed that 85% of its clientele had also sailed ocean voyages, with Seabourn consistently ranking among their preferred brands.
A three-day land extension in Slovenia—visiting Lake Bled and the Postojna Caves—is offered as an optional addition, extending the journey into an 18-day itinerary titled “Slovenia, Venice & the Mediterranean Sea”.
The river-to-sea schedule is set to fill quickly, given the partnership’s appeal to agents and clients alike, and underscores both brands’ shared commitment to elevated, immersive travel experiences.
