Princess Cruises has unveiled its 2027–2028 West Coast programme, featuring a range of warm-weather itineraries designed for the cooler months.

From September 2027 through April 2028, eight ships will operate 69 voyages across 15 itineraries to Mexico, Hawaii, and the California Coast, with durations ranging from 4 to 16 days. The season includes sailings aboard Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, Emerald Princess, Island Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, and the fleet’s newest vessel, Star Princess. Departures will be offered from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, providing convenient embarkation options for travellers along the Pacific coast.

Chief Commercial Officer Jim Berra noted that Princess Cruises has maintained a long-standing presence on the U.S. West Coast, particularly in Los Angeles, and stated that the line remains committed to delivering itineraries that highlight the region’s appeal—from the Pacific Coast’s natural beauty to the islands of Hawaii and Mexico’s coastal destinations.

The new season encompasses three principal destination groupings: Mexico, Hawaii, and the California Coast.

The Mexican itineraries will be operated by Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, and Ruby Princess, offering 34 departures across 4 routes that range from 7 to 11 days. These sailings will include 8 ports of call and feature late-night or overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas on selected departures. Roundtrip voyages from Los Angeles and San Francisco allow for easy access and short travel times for regional guests.

The Hawaiian programme, operated by Crown Princess, Emerald Princess, and Ruby Princess, will consist of 18 departures across two 16-day itineraries. Each voyage visits four Hawaiian Islands and additional ports, with extended evening stays in Honolulu and Kona. The itineraries are designed to provide a mix of cultural experiences and natural exploration, with convenient roundtrip departures from Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Sailings along the California Coast will feature all 8 ships in the programme, including Star Princess, with 17 departures across 9 itineraries. These voyages visit nine destinations and include late-night calls in key cities such as San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Victoria, B.C. The routes combine regional highlights, from wine country and coastal towns to major cultural centres, and are tailored to suit both shorter and longer holiday preferences.

Princess Cruises continues to emphasise the scenic appeal of the West Coast, with routes that include transits beneath the Golden Gate and Lions Gate bridges, views of El Arco at Cabo San Lucas, and volcanic vistas near Hilo. Onboard, the company’s regional enrichment programmes will remain a signature element of the experience, including tequila tastings from Mexico, traditional Hawaiian cultural activities under the Aloha Spirit programme, and culinary offerings inspired by California’s food and wine heritage.

The line’s dining venues have recently received recognition from Wine Spectator for excellence, underscoring its focus on culinary distinction. Guests can expect a curated wine experience featuring partnerships with leading vineyards, including exclusive Caymus Vineyards Winemaker Dinners and Gérard Bertrand Wine Tastings aboard Star Princess.
