CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has announced the next phase of its 2027–2028 deployment plan, which includes the establishment of year-round operations in Mobile, Alabama, and continued sailings from Florida for its other vessels.
Beginning May 15th, 2027, Carnival Valor will commence 6- to 8-day cruises from Mobile to destinations such as The Bahamas, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key. The ship will complete final sailings from New Orleans—a 5-day voyage on May 1st, followed by two 4-day cruises to Mexico on and May 6th and 10th—before relocating. The line confirmed that the deployment marks the first time a Conquest-class ship will homeport in Mobile, expanding regional capacity.
As part of the planned schedule, Carnival Valor will also conduct two 14-day “Carnival Journeys” sailings from Mobile—one departing September 26th, 2027, calling Caribbean and Panama ports, and another on January 16th, 2028 to the Southern Caribbean. A special 7-day Thanksgiving sailing will also depart November 20th, 2027, visiting Key West, Nassau and Celebration Key.
During the interim period before Carnival Valor’s relocation, the line will maintain seasonal service in Mobile via Carnival Spirit from October 2026 through April 2027. Meanwhile, the company’s Florida operations will continue: Carnival Glory will operate from Port Canaveral offering short cruises to The Bahamas, and will sail from Miami with 3- to 5-day itineraries and two longer Caribbean “Journeys” in November.
