Bodrum Cruise Port concludes record season with focus on sustainability

Bodrum Cruise Port, operated by Global Ports Holding, has concluded a notably successful cruise season, having received 116 vessel calls and a record 138,149 passengers. This performance has reinforced the port's status as a primary cruise destination in Türkiye, with its operational achievements matched by recognition for its sustainability and community initiatives.

The season featured calls from a diverse range of vessels, including AROYA Cruises, which made several overnight calls, alongside visits from Virgin VoyagesResilient Lady and Marella CruisesMarella Discovery 2. The port also accommodated luxury segments with calls from the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Silversea Cruises.

A significant social responsibility initiative, “One Day. One Ship. One Future,” was completed in partnership with Marella Cruises. The program involved hosting high school students for a day of activities that included a port tour, a beach clean-up, and a ship visit, supported by Bodrum Sea Rescue. The project was designed to promote marine conservation awareness and inspire interest in maritime professions. This initiative has resulted in the port being named a finalist for the “Sustainability Project of the Year” at the upcoming Seatrade Cruise Awards.

Aziz Güngör, East Med Regional Director for Global Ports Holding, remarked that the season was outstanding both operationally and in its social impact. He confirmed the port's ongoing commitment to developing projects that benefit the local community and the environment.
