The 181,000-ton MSC Grandiosa reached Port Canaveral on Saturday, December 6th, commencing week-long Caribbean and Bahamas roundtrips from the popular Florida homeport.

As the second MSC Cruises vessel to be based there — alongside MSC Seashore — Grandiosa joins a lineup intended to offer passengers both short and extended cruise options.

On board, Grandiosa accommodates over 6,300 passengers, staffed by more than 1,700 crew, spread across 2,421 staterooms and suites. The vessel brings a broad array of amenities: open-air recreation decks, a water-park, varied dining venues, entertainment spaces, and the exclusive yacht-club section with private butler service.

Two alternating 7-day voyage options have been introduced. One itinerary sees Grandiosa chart a course through the Bahamas and eastern Caribbean, calling at destinations including Nassau, the private oasis Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Puerto Plata and San Juan. The other follows a western Caribbean and Bahamas route — visiting ports such as Cozumel, Costa Maya, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay or Falmouth, and Nassau. Guests may further extend their holiday by combining two successive sailings into a 14-day round-trip from Port Canaveral.

The deployment of Grandiosa underscores Port Canaveral’s status as a drive-to cruise hub, with many travellers arriving by car, attracted by modern terminals, convenient access, and ample parking. Its addition significantly expands MSC Cruises’ offering from Central Florida, giving passengers greater flexibility whether they prefer a short Bahamas escape or a full Caribbean holiday.
