Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri formally handed over the vessel known as Four Seasons I to Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, the joint owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts, at its Ancona facility on February 25th, 2026. The transfer at the yard marks completion of a project begun with the vessel’s launch and construction in recent years and represents the first unit completed under Fincantieri’s Navis Sapiens programme, a digital-ship architecture developed through the Fincantieri Ingenium venture to apply artificial-intelligence-enabled systems and real-time data to the vessel’s operational environment.

Designed with gross tonnage of approximately 34 000 and a length of around 207 metres, Four Seasons I departs from conventional large cruise ship practice by offering a limited complement of 95 suites arranged in a residential-style layout, each conceived as an ocean-facing sanctuary. The ship’s most expansive accommodation, the Funnel Suite, comprises about 457 square metres of indoor-outdoor space, situating it among the most generous private quarters constructed for a hospitality vessel to date. Built with advanced environmental protection systems and extensive open-air living spaces, the vessel embodies an approach that emphasises direct connection with the surrounding sea.

The delivery ceremony at Ancona was attended by senior executives from Fincantieri and Four Seasons Yachts along with local civil and ecclesiastical officials, and it followed months of assembly at the yard, where over 2000 personnel from Fincantieri and partner companies completed outfitting and systems integration.

The Ancona site’s substantial production capabilities, including significant gross tonnage capacity and advanced manufacturing technologies, were cited as critical to meeting the technical and design challenges posed by this bespoke vessel.
