A bomb threat at the Port of San Diego (California) on the morning of March 30th, 2026 prompted a temporary lockdown of cruise operations at the B Street Cruise Terminal, briefly interrupting scheduled activities while a full security sweep was conducted.

The warning was received by a port employee just before 07:00 a.m. local time as the cruise ship Disney Wonder was preparing for its regular turnaround. San Diego Harbor Police, supported by explosive detection canine units, were immediately deployed to secure the terminal and examine the premises. As a precautionary measure, disembarkation of passengers from the vessel was withheld during the response.

Security operations extended for approximately two hours, during which time the B Street Cruise Terminal and surrounding facilities were thoroughly inspected. By about 09:00 the threat was ruled out and the area was declared safe, allowing normal port operations to resume and the disembarkation process to continue.

The interruption had a limited effect on Disney Wonder’s schedule. The vessel, which had just completed a 3‑night sailing to Ensenada, Mexico, was scheduled to depart later in the day on a 4‑night cruise that included calls at Catalina Island and Ensenada. Given the proximity of Catalina Island to San Diego, the minor delay was not expected to significantly affect the ship’s itinerary.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and authorities have not released additional information regarding the origin or nature of the threat. The prompt response by port security and law enforcement allowed the terminal to return to routine cruise operations once the area was cleared.
