From homeport Hong Kong, the vessel Star Voyager is scheduled to undertake a revised series of itineraries this summer, between early July and late August. The ship operator, StarCruises, has designed an expanded regional coverage with extended in-port times.

Operating from Hong Kong's Ocean Terminal, the ship will operate short and mid-length roundtrips across East and Southeast Asia. The itineraries include 5-night voyages to Japanese/Okinawan ports such as Ishigaki, Naha and Miyakojima, alongside a single departure to Vietnam visiting Ha Long Bay and Da Nang.

Additional sailings combine southern Japan with Taiwanese ports including Keelung and Penghu, while shorter 3-night cruises to Kaohsiung and Penghu are arranged as compact regional passages.

Complementing these are regular 2-night high seas voyages departing at the end of each week, structured as brief intervals at sea rather than destination-led itineraries.

The revised deployment places emphasis on extended port calls, with selected itineraries allowing stays of up to ten hours, thereby enabling a more measured pace of shore activity and reducing the constraints associated with conventional turnaround schedules.

In outlining the programme, company leadership indicated that the intention had been to provide a broader range of itineraries from Hong Kong, combining longer port stays with routes designed to enhance regional exploration. It was further conveyed that shorter voyages remained integral to the schedule, offering a balance between leisure at sea and access to nearby coastal destinations, while maintaining flexibility for passengers seeking abbreviated sailings.

The summer deployment forms part of a wider operational pattern for Star Voyager, which has been positioned in Hong Kong for an extended season and continues to alternate between brief coastal routes and longer itineraries across the region, reflecting sustained demand for varied cruise durations within the Asian market.
