MSC Cruises has announced plans to broadcast FIFA World Cup 2026 matches throughout its U.S.-based fleet as part of its Summer of Sports programme, allowing guests to follow the tournament while sailing during the peak summer season.

The initiative will be available aboard MSC World America, MSC Seaside, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape and MSC Poesia. Matches will be shown live in public venues across the ships, while guests will also be able to watch coverage from their staterooms. Dedicated viewing events are planned for major stages of the tournament, including the opening match, knockout rounds and the final.

In addition to live broadcasts, MSC Cruises will offer a range of football-themed activities designed for guests of all ages. The programme will include trivia contests, skills challenges, prediction competitions, interactive games and tournament leaderboards aimed at extending the World Cup atmosphere onboard.

The timing is particularly relevant for passengers embarking from host cities such as Miami and Seattle, enabling travellers to combine attendance at or interest in the tournament with cruises to destinations across the Caribbean, The Bahamas and Alaska. The company noted that onboard Starlink-powered internet services and Browse & Stream packages will allow guests to remain connected to tournament developments throughout their voyages.
