MSC Cruises has detailed a new dining concept for MSC World Asia, introducing a first-of-its-kind Pan-Asian street food venue that combines three distinct service formats within a single space when the ship enters service in the Mediterranean in December 2026.

The venue is structured as an integrated culinary environment reflecting the street food cultures of Indonesia, Singapore, South China, Thailand and Vietnam. It brings together a sit-down specialty restaurant, a cocktail bar and lounge, and a complimentary grab-and-go counter designed for quick service between onboard activities.

Within the main dining area, guests will encounter a flexible menu built around shared Pan-Asian dishes, including wok-prepared specialties and regional seafood preparations, paired with Asian beers and tea-based beverages. The bar and lounge section is configured to operate independently through the day, offering Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails and mixed drinks in a casual setting. Alongside these, a street food window provides fast-service items intended to replicate the informal rhythm of urban food markets, allowing passengers to obtain small dishes without formal seating.

The concept has been developed as a multi-sensory dining space, combining live kitchen preparation, curated soundscapes and themed décor to reinforce the connection to contemporary Asian street food culture. MSC Cruises has indicated that the intention is to offer flexibility across different dining styles within the same venue, from full meals to informal snacking, depending on guest preference and schedule.

Culinary development for the venue has been overseen by chefs Xiao Wang and Luca Césarini, who have drawn on regional influences and international experience to structure the menu and service flow. The wider MSC World Asia dining programme will encompass a broad range of venues across the ship, positioning the vessel as one of the most extensive culinary platforms in the MSC fleet.

The introduction of the Pan-Asian street food concept continues MSC Cruises’ broader approach to differentiating its World Class vessels through ship-specific venues, with MSC World Asia set to enter service as the third ship in the series operating Mediterranean itineraries.
