Cruise Ship Sexual Assault Investigated

Detectives are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a female cruise passenger on a ship currently docked in Sydney

News 7 in Australia reported that the passenger on an RCI-Royal Caribbean ship alleged that she was a victim of sexual assault by another passenger during the voyage.

Explorer of the Seas arrived in Sydney, Australia after a 9-day cruise to Vanuatu. There, the ship was met by police and detectives spent several hours taking statements, talking to witnesses and collecting forensic evidence from the crime scene. 

The news station indicated that no arrests were made. Royal Caribbean provided support to the victim.
