VIDEO: Carnival AirShip to Fly over the Southeast

Carnival's 128-foot blimp, which is painted like a cruise ship, made an aerial debut on Wednesday, August 29, in Memphis Tennessee.

It will float around the areas of Galveston and Houston between September 7-9 as part of a 30-day journey across the United States.

Carnival Cruise Line's AirShip is part of a marketing campaign for line's new ship deployments, including Carnival Vista which will begin sailing from port of Galveston on September 23.

Carnival Vista is among the 4 ships that will be sailing from new homeports in September. The newest Carnival ship, Carnival Horizon, will start with cruises from Miami FL on September 22 following a special 2-day cruise to Nassau, September 20.

Carnival Breeze will start sailing from Port Canaveral September 30, and Carnival Magic from Miami FL September 30.
