TUI Cruises announced that German artist Carolin Niemczyk will serve as the official godmother of line's next passenger ship Mein Schiff 2.
Niemczyk, who is the vocalist of the German Glasperlenspiel duo, will name the new Mein Schiff 2 during ship's christening ceremony on February 9, 2019 in Lisbon Portugal.
The 28-year-old singer is due to deliver the traditional blessing to the vessel and break a bottle of champagne in the hull in order to give luck to the passengers and crew members in the navigation.
Carolin Niemczyk revealed she was grateful to be the godmother of the next TUI Cruises ship, as she participated in one of the festivals held onboard Mein Schiff 3 during the previous season.
