Brodosplit Makes Offer for Uljanik Shipyard

The Split-based Brodosplit, via the partnership with Fincantieri Group, Italy, made an offer for the restructuring of ailing Uljanik shipbuilding group (Pula Croatia), the shipyard announced on January 25.

In a brief statement, Brodosplit said that they could confirm that in partnership with Fincantieri Group, had "submitted a bid for the restructuring of the Uljanik Group."

Brodosplit added it couldn't discuss details of the offer before it was examined by the Uljanik Group's management and relevant state institutions. Brodosplit had earlier signed a number of cooperation agreements with the group.

According to the CEO of Pula shipyard, Emil Bulic, six companies had conducted due diligence at the yard, based in Pula, northern Adriatic.

The process was completed at 6:00 pm. The deadline for the submission of a binding offer expired at 8:00 pm on Friday, January 25.
