Fort Madison officials announced they are considering the building of a new Mississippi River dock, in order to serve as a river cruise stop.

Fort Madison city came to terms in April to fund and complete the Depot project, that included a new cruise passenger platform situated in the historic renovated depot. Currently, they are looking to construct a dock that will allow Viking Cruises to make Fort Madison IA (Iowa) a port of call when the cruise line begins its Mississippi River schedule.
