After a couple of consecutive Royal Caribbean cruise ships canceled scheduled calls in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Allure of the Seas ship was able to dock on Pier 3 in the port on Friday, July 19.
Earlier this week, Harmony of the Seas and Empress of the Seas skipped visits to San Juan because of political demonstrations in the capital of the island. Harmony of the Seas was rerouted on July 17 to her next port of St Maarten. Empress OTS called at Tortola BVI instead.
The demonstrations are part of a multi-day protest that is calling for the resignation of Governor Ricardo Rossello after sexist private chat messages were leaked.
