American Harmony Passes Sea Trials

American Cruise Linesnewest riverboat, American Harmony, has successfully passed sea trials, received her Coast Guard certification and departed from Chesapeake Shipbuilding (Salisbury, Maryland).

The second ship in a planned series of 5 modern riverboats is 23 days ahead of schedule and en route to New Orleans. The inaugural cruise of American Harmony on August 17 is an 8-day round-trip NOLA itinerary, part of the line’s 9 Mississippi itineraries ranging between 5-22 days. The cruiser will sail the Mississippi River in 2019 and 2020.

This is the American Cruise Lines' 3rd ship on the Mississippi. Another modern riverboat, American Jazz, is due to be delivered in 2020.
