Enchanted Princess Officially Meets the Ocean

Princess Cruises celebrated a major construction milestone with the recent float out of its Enchanted Princess ship at the building-dock at Fincantieri Shipyard, Monfalcone Italy. An official ceremony marked the occasion as the new vessel has officially met the ocean for the first time.

According to the custom of the Italian shipyard, the float out of a ship is celebrated via presenting a “madrina” (godmother) to “bless the ship” and celebrate the flow of water into the building dock.

President and CEO Doris Magsaysay Ho of Magsaysay Group, the Philippines, one of the biggest and most trusted human resource firms in the Asia Pacific region, accepted an invitation from Princess president Jan Swartz, to serve in the special role. Ms Ho has been at the helm of a long partnership with the cruise line to recruit, train and develop crew members who work on the global fleet of Princess Cruises.
