The subsidiary company of the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri - Vard Holdings - delivered MS Hanseatic Inspiration. This is the second cruiser in Hapag-Lloyd's new series of luxury expedition ships - following the sistership Hanseatic Nature (delivered in April 2019). A third vessel (Hanseatic Spirit) is scheduled for completion in 2021.
The 230-passenger cruise ship Hanseatic Inspiration was constructed by Norwegian company VARD Holdings Ltd (Fincantieri) at Tulcea Shipyard (Romania) then outfitted at VARD's shipyard in Langsten (near Alesund Norway). The vessel has ice-class PC6 (highest for passenger ships) and offers 5-star premium hotel service and amenities, gourmet cuisine, large staterooms, and public spaces.
