Two Cruise Ships Wait Off Gloucester Due to Storm

Two cruise liners have made their way into Ipswich Bay (Essex County, Massachusetts USA) in order to wait out the stormy weather off Gloucester MA on Thursday, October 17.

According to the USCG, Norwegian Dawn was bound for NYC New York with 2178 passengers, while Seven Seas Navigator was en-route to Boston MA with 479 passengers.

Both vessels were unable to anchor and were waiting for the 14-ft (4 m) waves and strong winds off the coast of Gloucester to die down before continuing on their voyages. The US Coast Guard was closely monitoring both ships. No injuries or damages have been reported.
