To improve cruise ship tourism, Port Alexandria is currently granting some facilities to cruise vessels ranging from reductions on port fees and exemption from other fees. Consequently, Celestyal Cruises is launching a new cruise ship route (Egypt-Cyprus-Greece) that includes Egypt in the itinerary.

The ship Celestyal Crystal will visit both Port Alexandria and Port Said between December 2019-January 2020 during the Christmas holidays through Rhapsody Agency. The vessel's max passenger capacity is 1452.

Port of Alexandria (Egypt)

Alexandria boasts a rich history of ancient civilization, remaining Roman's and Byzantine Egypt's capital for almost 1,000 years. It was best known for the Lighthouse of Alexandria (Pharos), which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the Great Library, which is the largest in the ancient world.

Port Alexandria has witnessed a lot of renovations in its infrastructure such as the opening of a new Cruise Terminal for passengers’ ships quay.
