Seabourn celebrated a major milestone in the construction of its first purpose-built expedition ship - the keel-laying for Seabourn Venture during an official ceremony held on Wednesday, December 4 at T.Mariotti Shipyard in San Giorgio di Nogaro (near Venice Italy).

Seabourn's Venture is due to debut in June 2021. A second Seabourn expedition ship, still to be named, is expected to launch in May 2022. Both ships are being constructed for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards and include an array of modern technology that will extend their global deployment, including a pair of custom-built submarines on each ship to provide guests views of the world beneath the surface of the ocean.

Hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany designed the public areas and all categories of the 132 oceanfront veranda suites, of which the line’s first-ever 2-story Grand Wintergarden Suite, and a bespoke furniture collection for both expedition ships.

Seabourn Venture will also sail with 8 dining venues, such as The Colonnade, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner that extends on an aft patio.
