Royal Caribbean Unveils Deployment from Shanghai for 2021

RCI-Royal Caribbean announced its itineraries in China for the first half of 2021. Spectrum of the Seas will be homeported in Shanghai operating on 4- to 7-night roundtrips that feature new destinations and overnight ports.

The amplified Voyager of the Seas will be homeported in Shanghai for summer 2021. Following a USD 97 million drydock refurbishment (Royal Amplified), Voyager OTS is scheduled to operate 4- and 5-night Japan cruises to culture-rich port cities like Kagoshima City, Kumamoto City, Fukuoka, Nagasaki.

RCI’s newest vessel (Spectrum OTS) has scheduled nearly 30 voyages to Japanese destinations with 4- and 5-night roundtrips from China to the islands Okinawa and Yaeyama. The 7-night itineraries offer overnights in select destinations.

A highlight of the season is a special sailing to some of Japan’s most famed port cities, including Hakodate (Hokkaido), Maizuru, Niigata City and Shimonoseki.

Those sailing on Spectrum can choose from a lineup of new shore trips designed to enhance the travel experience. Via local celebrations in unique locales, the shore excursions cover various themes and routes.
