Customers named Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ 3rd fleetmeet "Four Ladies in Lisbon" via social media poll. The UK-based cruise copany suggested 3 names to choose from: Four B’s in Lisbon, Four Freds in Lisbon, and Four Ladies in Lisbon, in addition to other customers-suggested names - like Liners in Lisbon, Fred.s Portuguese Parade, Freds Lisbon Liaison.
The vote closed Sunday evening, June 21, with "Four Ladies in Lisbon" attracting 63% of all votes.
Ben Williams (company's Head of Digital) said it was great to get their guests involved in the naming of the event. He added they had some fun looking over the entries as they came in, "with some of the more entertaining options including ‘Four Lucky Ladies in Lisbon’, ‘Four Legends in Lisbon’ and ‘Four Portuguese Tarts", but they had a clear winner.
The four Fred Olsen cruise liners - Balmoral, Black Watch, Boudicca, Braemar - will come together in Port Lisbon Portugal on October 22, 2021. The new fleetmeet was originally planned for April 4, 2020, as "Four Freds in Funchal" (Madeira Island, Portugal).
All passengers who book to join one of the ‘Four Ladies in Lisbon’ voyages before June 30, 2020, can enjoy up to GBP 200 per person to spend onboard and the cost of tips covered, along with a choice of cabin, restaurant and dining time, plus other benefits.
