VIDEO: Aurora Expeditions unveils the design of its second expedition ship, Sylvia Earle

Following the recent release of Aurora Expeditions’ new external design of Sylvia Earle, the cruise line introduced the interior design of its 2nd expedition ship.

Named after world-renowned oceanographer, marine conservationist, and biologist Dr. Sylvia Earle, involved in the development process, the newbuild features the X-BOW.

The interior design was created by the managing partner of Tomas Tillberg Design, Tomas Tillberg, and his team as the 130-passenger vessel is scheduled to enter service in 2021.

Sylvia Earle boasts with the cutting-edge Ulstein X-BOW, a core design element that is essential to the speed, agility, and fuel efficiency of Aurora Expeditions' ships.

Sylvia Earle is the 7th in a series of ten "Ulstein CX103" design (Infinity-class) expedition vessels, with sisterships Greg Mortimer (2019-Sept, fleetmate), Ocean Victory (2021-March), Ocean Explorer (2021-Jan), Ocean Odyssey (2022-Feb), Ocean Discoverer (2023-March), Ocean Albatros (2022-Oct) plus 4 more (TBN) units.
