First cruise from the USA to be out of Palm Beach Florida

Port Palm Beach Florida is expected to lead the USA in resuming cruises, scheduled for July 2, 2021.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line is due to resume roundtrips from Palm Beach to The Bahamas.

2020 has been challenging for the cruise industry because of the COVID crisis and Bahamas Paradise was no exception. Its Grand Classica ship is currently docked in Freeport (Grand Bahama Island) but is expected to arrive there any day now.

The company is working with the USA's CDC agency to ensure the necessary safety protocols will be enforced.

Bahamas Paradise already opened bookings for the 2-night roundtrip to Freeport on Grand Classica. If all goes as planned, it could be the first voyage to leave a US seaport since the pandemic began.

Earlier this month, the Centers had set new guidelines for cruise companies to begin sailings with volunteer passengers to help test whether the liners can sail safely during the pandemic.
