The new brand "Ambassador Cruise Line" - the UK's newest cruise line (first since 2010) has launched.

Tickets for the company's inaugural no-fly cruises go on sale this month, starting with a maiden short-break voyage to Hamburg on April 6, 2022, from the Ambassador's home port of London-Tilbury UK. The season continues with sailings to the British Isles and the Norwegian Fjords throughout the spring, prior to heading to 88 ports of call in the Arctic, Baltics, Canaries, Cuba, Caribbean, Cape Verde, Greenland, Scandinavia, Iceland, and Saint Petersburg by May 2023.

With itineraries aimed at passengers over 50s, Ambassador’s first vessel, Ambience, is able to accommodate ~1400 guests in 798 staterooms, offering 5 restaurants, 9 lounges, 1 swimming pool, wellness complex (spa and fitness).

Ambassador Ambience ship (fka Satoshi) was previously "Amy Johnson" and sailed under CMV-Cruise & Maritime Voyages before the company went into liquidation in the summer of 2020. A number of team members who previously worked with CMV make up the Ambassador’s management team.

The boat is being upgraded with emission reduction technologies in order to be IMO Tier III compliant before the start of the 2022 season, meeting the IMO's rules expected to come into force by January 1, 2025, aiming to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by ~70% in comparison with Tier II standards.

Single-use plastic was eliminated and new technology is expected to be used to replace shore plans and printed menus with digital alternatives.

All crew members and passengers must be vaccinated and tested for COVID before boarding.

Fares for a 7-night European voyage departing from homeport Tilbury start at GBP 850 per person (with double occupancy) on a full-board basis.
