Disney Fantasy passengers not permitted on St Thomas Island (Charlotte Amalie, USVI)

   December 31, 2021 ,   Accidents

On Thursday, December 30, Disney Fantasy docked at Charlotte Amalie (St Thomas USVI) where passengers learned they would not be permitted to disembark the ship because of an ‘abundance of caution’ as a result of both the increase in COVID cases in Saint Thomas and a small number of fully vaccinated crew and passengers (reported as less than 1% of those onboard) which are in isolation.

Captain Jason reported over the intercom/PA system there were passengers in quarantine.

Guests will receive a 20% FCC (future cruise credit) and a US$200 OBC/onboard credit.

At ~9:30 am local time, Disney Fantasy departed St Thomas to spend the day at sea.
