Formentera Island (port locode ESFLD) is the more southerly of Spain's Pityusic Islands (the larger one is Ibiza). The group also includes various small islets, all of which are part of the Balearic Islands.

Once reachable only from Ibiza, today regular passenger ferry service from mainland Spain makes Formentera a Mediterranean tourist destination.

Ferries from Ibiza to Formentera operate from a dedicated ferry terminal in the Port of Ibiza. Departures are every 1/2 hour (high season). The itinerary is operated with fast catamarans (capacity over 200 passengers). Travel time is approx 30 min.
