Makarska (port locode HRMAK) is an Adriatic Sea cruise port and town in Croatia's Split-Dalmatia County, with a population of around 15,000. The nearest large port cities are Split (approx 60 km / 37 mi southeast) and Dubrovnik (approx 140 km / 87 mi northwest).

The town is located on a horseshoe-shaped bay and well-known as a tourism travel destination. It is best-known attraction is the palm-fringed esplanade (waterfront promenade street) lined with boutique shops, cafes, and bars overlooking the harbor.

The beach is adjacent to several large hotels and a camping site. As a cruise port, Makarska is visited mainly by smaller-sized ships and luxury megayachts.
