Arosa Viva cabins review

Most A-Rosa Viva cabins (69%) feature a French Balcony. Also known as a “Juliet Balcony,” these staterooms have two floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open inward to a railing. All staterooms on the ship are outside-facing, though no Suites are available. There are four cabin categories, each with a maximum occupancy of three guests.

The most affordable cabins are located on Deck One (Lower Deck). These are configured with two twin beds and an additional third Pullman bed (single, wall-mounted). While uncommon in the river cruising industry, Pullman beds are ideal for small families with children.

Below is a review of A-Rosa Viva staterooms, including furniture, included amenities, and complimentary services:

  • Hotel-style twin beds (convertible to a queen-size bed, 200 x 160 cm) with luxury bedding, bedside tables, and reading lamps. Cabins offer ample closet and under-bed storage, individual climate control, and both 220V and 110V outlets. Outside cabins feature two single beds (separated), plus a Pullman bed. One bed can be folded up to create a seating area during the day.
  • Each stateroom includes a full bathroom with a toilet and glass-door shower, hairdryer, premium bath amenities (bathrobes available upon request), a small seating area, a writing desk/vanity with one chair, onboard telephone, safe, and complimentary bottled water replenished daily.
  • HD flat-screen TV with local and satellite reception, as well as complimentary Internet and Wi-Fi (WLAN) with shipwide coverage.
  • The open bar aboard A-Rosa Viva offers complimentary alcoholic beverages (wine, sparkling wine, beer, spirits, cocktails) and soft drinks throughout the day—not limited to mealtimes. Upon embarkation, all staterooms, regardless of category, include a welcome gift of a champagne bottle, a basket of fresh fruit, and a rose in a vase.
  • Complimentary use of bicycles for shore excursions and land tours, as well as laundry service.
  • Complimentary shore excursions, including guided walking and biking tours with professional local guides.
  • French Balcony cabins in Categories C and D feature a sliding glass door, commonly referred to as a Juliet or false balcony.
  • River view window cabins in Categories A and S are Outside Double staterooms, each with two high-set, round-shaped, non-opening porthole windows.
  • A-Rosa river cruise packages also include air and land transfers, taxes, and gratuities.
