Arosa Silva cabins review

Most Arosa Silva cabins (69%) feature a French Balcony. Also known as a “Juliet Balcony,” these staterooms have two floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open inwards to a railing. The ship has six Suites in two categories – Balkonsuite and Juniorsuite. Both suite types feature a "twin balcony" design, combining a French Balcony with a step-out veranda for all-weather use. There are a total of seven cabin categories, with a maximum occupancy of three guests per cabin.

The most affordable cabins are located on Deck One (Lower Deck). These feature two twin beds and a third single Pullman bed mounted on the wall. While Pullman beds are uncommon on river cruise ships, they are ideal for small families traveling with children.

Below is a review of Arosa Silva’s staterooms, including furnishings, included amenities, and complimentary services:

  • Hotel-style twin beds (convertible to queen, size 200 x 160 cm) with luxury bedding, bedside tables, and lamps. Cabins offer ample closet and under-bed storage, individual climate control, and 220V/110V power outlets. Outside cabins feature two separated single beds plus a Pullman bed. One of the beds can be folded up to create a sitting area during the day.
  • Suites include two sets of floor-to-ceiling glass doors—one leading to a French Balcony, the other to a step-out veranda. In-suite furnishings include a queen-size or double bed, sofa, and desk.
  • All staterooms come with a full bathroom featuring a toilet, glass-door shower, hairdryer, premium bath amenities, bathrobes, slippers, a small seating area, a writing desk/vanity with armchair, onboard phone, safe, and complimentary bottled water replenished daily.
  • HD flat-screen TV with local and satellite channels, and complimentary Internet and Wi-Fi (WLAN network with shipwide coverage).
  • The open bar on Arosa Silva provides complimentary alcoholic beverages (wine, sparkling wine, beer, spirits, cocktails) and soft drinks throughout the day, not just during lunch and dinner. All staterooms include a Welcome Aboard gift of a bottle of champagne, a basket of fresh fruit, and a rose in a vase upon embarkation.
  • Complimentary bicycles are available onboard for use during shore excursions and land tours.
  • Complimentary laundry and room service.
  • Complimentary shore excursions include food and wine-themed tours, cultural and historical experiences, and leisure activities (walking and biking tours) led by local professional guides.
  • The ship’s largest accommodations are the two Category F Suites on Upper Deck 3. Each features a step-out veranda in the lounge area, a sliding floor-to-ceiling window in the sleeping area (opening to a French Balcony), a dressing area with two large wardrobes, and a bathroom with double sinks and separate toilet, shower, and bathtub.
  • The four Category E Junior Suites on Deck 3 offer French Balcony views from the sleeping area and a floor-to-ceiling non-opening window in the lounge. Bathrooms include a sink, toilet, and separate shower (no bathtub).
  • French Balcony cabins in Categories C and D feature sliding glass doors (opening) referred to as Juliet or false balconies.
  • Category A Outside staterooms include two fixed rectangular porthole windows positioned high on the wall. Two of these cabins accommodate triple occupancy with an additional twin bed near the window.
  • Category S Outside cabins also accommodate three guests and are furnished with one double sofa bed and one single sofa. Each has a round, fixed porthole window located high on the riverside wall.
  • A-Rosa river cruise packages also include air and land transfers, taxes, tips/gratuities, and service from English-speaking professional staff.
