Emerald Luna cabins review
Follows review of Emerald Luna cabins, including amenities, furniture, and complimentary services:
All passenger staterooms feature queen beds or convertible twin-bed configurations (except Single cabins with a single bed, size 79 x 63 inches / 200 x 160 cm), bedside tables, mirrored panels by the bed, and private en-suite bathrooms (WC, small sink, shower cubicle, mirrored cupboards, mirror over the basin, clothesline, luxury bath products – shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner, body lotion). Additional amenities include a walk-in closet (large wardrobe with hangers), personal safe, direct-dial phone, flat-screen HDTV (satellite reception, infotainment system with Internet, movies on demand, news and movie channels, and “View From the Bridge” webcam views), minibar (fully stocked with beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks – all at extra cost, except complimentary for Owner’s Suites), individual climate control, 220V power outlets (European sockets in the room and bathroom, plus one Australian socket – American passengers must bring adapters), umbrella, shoe cleaner, and two sets of earplugs.
All Suites are fitted with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Despite being called “Balcony Suites,” these are one-room cabins with an “indoor veranda” (replacing the French Balcony found on other ships). Floor-to-ceiling windows drop halfway at the push of a button, with an inner insect screen behind the main curtain.
Owner’s Suites include a separate bedroom and living/lounge area with sofa, bathroom with double sinks, and a private sit-out balcony furnished with two wooden chairs (padded seats) and a small round table. Exclusive Owner’s Suite perks include a complimentary minibar (replenished daily), Nespresso coffee machine, iPad, in-room dining (continental breakfast, pre-dinner canapés, after-dinner sweets), and complimentary laundry (four items per day).
Grand Suites feature bonus amenities such as a Nespresso coffee machine, en-suite dining (continental breakfast, canapés, sweets), and complimentary laundry (two items per day).
All Standard staterooms are fitted with large fixed picture windows.
Onboard laundry service is available at a per-item charge, with items collected by housekeeping staff. Cabin access is via magnetic chips instead of key cards, attached to lanyards for convenience.
A daily program with scheduled activities is delivered to each cabin nightly. The Cruise Director also hosts a nightly port talk, providing an overview of the next day’s ports of call and excursion options.
Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet is available with shipwide coverage.
