Emerald Radiance cabins and suites

Follows review of Emerald Radiance cabins, covering amenities, furniture, and complimentary services:

• All Emerald Radiance staterooms feature either a queen-size bed or two convertible twins (bed size 79 x 63 inches / 200 x 160 cm), bedside tables, mirrored panels beside the bed, and a private en-suite bathroom (WC, single-sink vanity, shower cubicle, mirrored cupboards, mirror over the washbasin, clothesline, and luxury bath products – shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner, body lotion). Cabins also include a walk-in closet (large wardrobe with hangers), electronic safe (in the closet), direct-dial phone (shipboard use only / intercom), flat-screen HDTV (satellite reception, infotainment system with Internet, movies on demand, news and movie channels, “View From the Bridge” webcam views), fully stocked minibar (beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks – all at extra cost, except complimentary for Owner’s and Riverview Suites), individual climate control (thermostat-controlled air-conditioning), 220V European power outlets (plus one Australian outlet; US passengers must bring adapters), umbrella, shoe cleaner, and two sets of earplugs.
• All Suite cabins have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. Despite being called “Balcony Suites,” they are one-room cabins with an “indoor veranda” (instead of a French Balcony). The windows drop halfway with the push of a button, and an inner insect screen is provided behind the main curtain.
• Owner’s Suites feature a separate bedroom and living area with sofa, bathroom with double sinks, and a private sit-out balcony furnished with two wooden chairs (padded seats) and a small round table. Exclusive perks include a complimentary minibar (replenished daily), Nespresso coffee machine, iPad, in-room dining (continental breakfast, pre-dinner canapés, after-dinner sweets), and complimentary laundry service (four items per day).
• The Riverview Suite, unique to Emerald Radiance, is located aft on Deck 3. Both Riverview Suites are stern-facing and feature floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto three French Balconies (on two walls). One balcony extends to an “indoor terrace.” Additional amenities include a Nespresso machine, in-suite dining (continental breakfast and pre-dinner canapés), separate bedroom and lounge, walk-in wardrobe, spacious bathroom with bathtub, premium toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, exclusive invitation to the Captain’s Table, complimentary laundry (four items per day per suite), and free minibar.
• Additional Suite perks include a Nespresso machine, in-suite dining (continental breakfast, canapés, sweets), and complimentary laundry (two items per day per cabin). Standard staterooms are fitted with fixed large picture windows.
• Laundry service is available onboard for a per-item fee, with items collected by housekeeping. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet is available shipwide.

Cabins are accessed by magnetic chips instead of key cards. Chips are attached to lanyards. Each night, a program with the following day’s scheduled activities is delivered to cabins. The Cruise Director also provides a nightly port talk with details on upcoming ports of call and excursions.
