Review of AmaLyra deck 3 (Violin)

The AmaLyra’s Main Lounge & Bar is the ship’s show lounge (nightly entertainment). It also serves as a casual/al fresco dining venue with an early breakfast (6-7 am, with pastries), late breakfast (9-10 am, with pastries and light snacks), Afternoon Tea (4-5 pm, with cookies and cakes) and late-night snacks (10:30 pm). The Main Lounge has a dance floor, grand piano (live performances in the evenings), and 24-hour complimentary water and specialty coffee/tea corner. Entertainment options here are also the cocktail hour (nightly), live evening show program (local dancers and musicians), classes, demonstrations, watching movies. Among the special activities here are the dance nights and the food and wine tastings (local delicacies, liqueurs, cheeses, etc, usually around 4:30 pm). Depending on the visited ports along the AmaLyra itinerary, the Main Lounge also hosts tours/excursions- and culture/history-related multimedia presentations and lectures. The Main Lounge also has a small open-air Teak Front Deck seating area with tables and chairs for guests to enjoy the relaxing riverside scenery views.

Gift Shop sells special occasion gifts and souvenirs, with some convenience goods.

The Lyra’s 2-deck high Lobby area has a Reception Desk (information, guest assistance, boarding cards, account queries) and the ship’s glass elevator.

Adjacent to the Lobby is the Library, which has a comfortable seating area, a small collection of books, board games, and playing cards. The AmaLyra Cruise Director’s Office (across from the Library) provides information on excursions and land tours, about the ship’s daily program activities, and also serves the AmaWaterways onboard booking program

Cruise cabins from 301 to 332, of which French Balcony rooms (20x category A, 4x category B, and 4x category C), and 4x Junior Suites (3x JS category, and 1x A+ category French Balcony suite).

The AmaLyra’s Aft Lounge is adjacent to the Spa-Fitness. The bar service is available via phone. Here are also hosted cards and board games playing. The Light-lunch menu (12 am) offers salads, cold meats, cheeses, sandwiches. The light-dinner here (7 pm) includes wine. This quiet relaxation and observation venue has comfortable seating with modern wicker furniture, sliding doors for fresh air, and offers unparalleled scenery view.

The Lyra ship’s small Spa & Fitness Centre (aft starboard location) has convenient staircase access to the open area of Sun Deck 4. Among the Gym room’s equipment includes a treadmill and rowing machine. Here is also the Massage & Beauty Salon (portside).
