MS AmaLyra (built in 2009 and not yet refurbished) is the fifth vessel in the Aria-class of AmaWaterways ships, alongside AmaCello, AmaDagio, AmaDante, and AmaDolce. Together with the new Viking Cruises longships, the Aria- and Concerto-class APT riverboats showcase innovative design concepts that emphasize elegance, spacious guest accommodations, and generous public areas. APT AmaWaterways ships are considered among the top choices in the cruise industry for all-inclusive, luxury river cruising.
As part of the AmaWaterways fleet, the “APT AmaLyra” is also operated by APT (Australian Pacific Touring), a global tour operator.
The MS AmaLyra cruise ship features a total of 75 staterooms accommodating up to 148 passengers, with 41 crew and staff members. The vessel has 4 passenger decks and 1 glass elevator that connects all three cabin decks.
The AMA ship Lyra also offers amenities rarely found on river cruise ships, including a spa/sauna and a whirlpool, enhancing the romantic appeal of AmaLyra’s itineraries. Despite her relatively smaller capacity, the APT AmaLyra riverboat boasts generous public areas and a range of dining and wellness facilities typically found only on the largest riverboats.
