Review of Disney Fantasy deck 3 (Lobby-Shops-Animator’s Palate)

Fantasy’s Atrium (3-decks high midship area, with marble-carpet flooring, panoramic glass lifts and an impressive staircase connecting decks 3 and 4; level 1 of 3)

Walt Disney Fantasy Theatre (capacity 1340 seats, for original Disney-themed live performances, grand-style musical productions; level 1 of 2). The lavish theatre is home to the 45-minute musical "Wishes" centering on 3 teens worried about growing up. Ditto "Disney's Believe," is focused on the story of a workaholic father who reconnects with daughter. Old-time favorites include Cinderella, Peter Pan and Aladdin.

Preludes (wait-service snacks and drinks bar, also serving the nearby Walt Disney Fantasy Theatre/surcharge).

Bon Voyage (adult-only lobby bar, wine, beer, cocktails, open between 11 am - 11 pm). The bar is not technically in the atrium, but just past it, opposite the guest services desk.

Royal Court Restaurant (696 seats forward Dining Room, with French cuisine, complimentary breakfast between 8-9:30 am, lunch 12-1:30 pm and dinner 5:45-8:15 pm), also hosts the Royal Court Tea (Disney characters dining/on 7-day cruises only, surcharge PP, reservations required). The Royal Court boasts plush furniture, huge chandelier and myriad princess references such as waiters dressed as princesses. The restaurant serves rich breakfasts, including fruit, yogurt, pancakes, cereal, waffles, bagels with lox, grilled veggies, pastries and egg dishes (fried eggs, omelets, scrambled eggs), all with the option of bacon, sausage and hash browns. At dinner, the menu features a French accent, and includes duck confit, escargot, roasted rack of lamb, French onion soup, Grand Marnier souffle, crispy duck breast, and a variety of wines.

Animator’s Palate Restaurant (696 seats aft Dining Room, complimentary, part of the Rotational Dining scheme, with 2 fixed seatings for dinner – 5:45 and 8:15 pm). This dinner-only venue features cartoon art and large HDTVs that present "Undersea Magic" starring animated Crush the Turtle from "Finding Nemo." The character interacts with diners in real-time. The surf-and-turf is a standout among the entrees including beef tenderloin, lemon-thyme chicken breast, appetizers of salmon tartare, black truffle ravioli, soups like baked potato and cheddar and butternut squash. Vegetarian options include sesame halloumi and black bean chipotle cakes. For dessert, passengers benefit from creme brulee, ice cream and cheesecake, among other options.
