MS Rhein Symphonie (built in 2006 as Viking Helvetia and last refurbished in 2016) is the second of two specially designed Viking Cruises Rhine River ships, together with her sistership Viking Sun (now Rhein Melodie). The Viking riverboats Helvetia and Sun feature higher ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows in all public areas.
MS Rhein Symphonie’s deck plan includes 99 passenger cabins, a Restaurant, Bar Lounge, Foyer (Tour Office, Reception Desk), Library, Gift Shop, and a Sun Deck with retractable awnings (shaded seating lounge with 4-seat tables and chairs, full bar service), sunbathing area (loungers and deckchairs), and a deck games area (Giant Chess Set). Three staircases connect all decks. The ship has no lift (passenger elevator), swimming pool (or Jacuzzi), hair salon, or wellness facilities (fitness room, sauna, spa).
