MV Magellan Explorer (2019-built) is a polar-class expedition vessel owned and operated by the Chilean Antarctica air-cruise company Antarctica21 (formerly Antarctica XXI). The ship was built by ASENAV, and her sistership is Magellan Discoverer (scheduled for 2026).
The Magellan Explorer deck plan includes 50 passenger cabins, a crew deck with expedition-gear storage and a Mudroom, a Clinic (Infirmary with resident doctor), a Dining Room Restaurant with Bar, a Lobby area (Reception and Gift Shop), a Tour Office (Expedition Leader and Cruise Director), a Bar Lounge, Library, Meeting Room, Gym, Sauna, two forward outdoor decks for observation and wildlife viewing, and a BBQ area.
The Observation Deck carries two tenders/lifeboats and all 10 Zodiac boats (large-capacity inflatable speedboats) used for landings and for tendering passengers ashore.
