The German online and out-of-home advertiser Stroer SE & Co and AIDA Cruises are bringing the new trend of 3-dimensional campaigns to Hamburg (Germany).

Digital outdoor advertising with an animated 3D motif will be presented for the first time on the so-called Public Video City Towers. The Public Video Giant Screens at the main train station in Hamburg will be used as targeted highlights.

On the digital Giant Screens that measure up to 24 m2 (258 ft2) and the digital columns, viewers can see a floating AIDA cruise ship surrounded by shallow waves. The attention-grabbing spilling water effect really captivates the observer.

According to Alexander Ewig, Senior Vice President Marketing at AIDA, the innovative 3D advertising campaign offered them completely new creative possibilities that make the product more realistic and lead to more attention from the viewer.

"With this exceptionally high-impact campaign, AIDA Cruises is also sending a moving message of love to Hamburg: The headline “AIDA ❤ Hamburg” crowns the brand campaign, which will be launched on Monday, August 15, 2022, in the run-up to the “Hamburg Cruise Days pur”.

Between August 19 and 21, 2022, tens of thousands of admirers will make a pilgrimage to the Hanseatic city and experience the AIDA kissing cruise ships not only on the water but also on land in the port city.

The Giant Screens and Towers of Ströer can be found in the Hanseatic city indoors at train stations and shopping centres and outdoors at high-traffic locations. The Public Video City Towers correspond to the City Light columns and are equipped with a total of 3.25 m2 (35 ft2) of light-emitting diodes in portrait format. Objects can be displayed free-floating. 3D illusions can be implemented. The digital screens' energy requirements are exclusively covered by emission-free green electricity.

At the same time, AIDA is launching additional advertising campaigns in northern Germany and as part of a campaign for AIDA's winter voyages, many posters adorn the Hanseatic city of Warnemunde-Rostock and other cities in the north like Greifswald, Kiel, Travemunde-Lubeck, and Stralsund during the current summer season.

The highlight of the campaign is a 224 m2 (2411 ft2) traffic tower on the A24 close to Zarrentin in the direction of Hamburg. Cool-Lite Bikes are in use with advertising spaces in the Baltic Sea resorts on the Bay of Lubeck, on Usedom, at the Hanse Sail in Warnemunde, and at the Cruise Days in Hamburg.
