DCL-Disney Cruise Line's Marvel Day at Sea debuts new characters

DCL-Disney Cruise Line passengers will be transported to a brand new realm of possibilities when the Marvel Universe assembles in new ways onboard the company's Marvel Day at Sea sailings next year.

Setting sail January through March 2023 from PortMiami Florida, the epic vacations are expected to debut new characters and shows unlocking the inner Super Heroes in Marvel fans and newcomers.

DCL's Marvel Day at Sea combines the thrills of Marvel films, comics, and animated series, with the excitement of a cruise. During an action-packed day aboard Disney Dream, the event provides all-day entertainment like meet-and-greets, film and TV screenings, themed food and beverage offerings, stage shows, special merchandise, and activities for families, adults and kids.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded, so has the roster of fan-favorite characters and stories that are due to embark aboard Marvel Day at Sea voyages. For the first time ever, 30+ Marvel Super Heroes & Villains will be featured in heroic encounters and live entertainment.

Passengers will interact with the mightiest Marvel Super Heroes and the foes who oppose them, such as the debut of Captain America Sam Wilson, Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Mighty Thor, Kate Bishop, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and more. Returning fan-favourites include Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Thor, Captain Marvel, Loki, and Black Widow.

A new take on "Heroes Unite", the nighttime spectacular featuring special effects and pyrotechnics, will assemble a line-up of Marvel characters for a multiverse-spanning adventure. The unique action will culminate in a battle with never-before-seen villains on a Disney ship.

New in the Walt Disney Theatre, "Strange Academy: A Spellbinding Spectacular" is keeping guests on the edge of their seats with demonstrations of the mystic art's power. The show will feature the powerful witch Agatha Harkness, Doctor Strange, and the first appearance of Sorcerer Supreme Wong.

Guests aboard these sailings will enjoy all the fun of a tropical Disney vacation – from themed dining for families and world-class entertainment to dedicated spaces for vacationers of all ages.

Marvel Day at Sea is scheduled to take place on nine 5-night Caribbean voyages sailing from PortMiami in early 2023.

Departing January 7, January 21, February 4, February 18, and March 4, 2023, the Western Caribbean itinerary includes Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island, and DCL's private Bahamian island Castaway Cay.

Departing January 16, January 30, February 13, and February 27, 2023, the Western Caribbean itinerary includes Cozumel, Mexico, and Castaway Cay.
