CCL-Carnival Cruise Line opened bookings for the inaugural season of its next new ship due to showcase Carnival Fun Italian Style experiences, Carnival Firenze (fka Costa Firenze), which is scheduled to begin sailing year-round from Los Angeles (Long Beach-San Pedro, California) starting in May 2024 through to April 2025.

Christine Duffy (CCL's President) said Carnival Firenze was named after the spectacular city of Florence (Livorno, Italy) and "designed to evoke the same charm and beauty found in Florence and she’ll also pack in plenty of Carnival fun, which will be brought to life by the friendly and dedicated team members that make cruises across our fleet memorable."

“This truly stunning ship will serve as a great new cruise vacation option from Long Beach, joining Carnival Panorama and Radiance, and offering a range of sailing lengths to Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera.”

The new sailings give passengers 15 different itinerary options of 3- to 7-day voyages. Firenze’s sailings feature visits to Baja Mexico/Mexican Riviera destinations.

Some of the sailings open for sale from Long Beach CA include:

  • 5-day Mexican Riviera Inaugural Cruise (May 2nd, 2024) visiting Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada
  • 6-day Mexican Riviera Cruise (several departure options available) visiting Ensenada and spending 2 days in Cabo San Lucas
  • 7-day Mexican Riviera Cruise (several departure options available) visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas.

Firenze will be the second liner to showcase CCL's new "Carnival Fun Italian Style" experiences, debuting with the arrival of Carnival Venezia in May 2023.
